LEGO Harry Potter

LEGO Harry Potter

The LEGO Harry Potter theme is a popular, ongoing licensed product line that first appeared in 2001. It covers sets, characters, and scenes from the entire Wizarding World franchise, including the original novels and films, as well as the Fantastic Beasts spin-offs.

Theme History

The theme has a rich history with several phases:

Original Run (2001-2007): The initial sets coincided with the early films and used the classic yellow minifigure skin tone until 2004, when they switched to more realistic flesh tones.

Revival Series (2010-2011): The theme returned with new, more detailed remakes of previous sets to align with the final films.

Relaunch (2018-Present): The theme was fully relaunched in 2018 and has since featured a multi-year modular Hogwarts Castle system, large collector's sets, and a wide array of minifigures, often tying in with the films' 20th anniversaries.

Current and Upcoming Sets

LEGO continues to release new Harry Potter sets, with many new releases in 2025 and more planned for 2026.

Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall (76435): Part of the current modular castle system, this large set is highly detailed and includes 11 minifigures, such as Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Albus Dumbledore.

The theme has also produced a successful series of video games developed by Traveller's Tales (TT Games), known for their humorous and puzzle-solving gameplay.

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4: Covers the first four books/films and was first released in 2010.

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7: Covers the final three books/films.
